About Ruth

Ruth Tudor

Ruth grew up on a hill farm in Snowdonia and Welsh is her first language. Before training as a therapist Ruth studied History at Cambridge University and had successful careers in education and policy-making at a national and international level. In her twenties and early thirties she taught in inner city comprehensive schools before becoming National Curriculum Officer for History & the Social Sciences for England & Wales,  Adviser on History Teaching & Learning to the Council of Europe and a consultant in various European countries including Hungary, Bulgaria and Sweden.

In her late thirties she made radical changes in her life including giving up her ‘career’. She moved to a farm in Wales and began her training as a therapist.
